Over 1 in 3 adults over the age of 65 will develop a bunion in their lifetime, and yet for such a prevalent medical issue, the overriding medical solutions are stuck in the past. Voom Medical Devices aims to revolutionize the industry, empowering and educating both patients and surgeons, and creating a new standard in care.
As a founding designer with the company, I partnered with Dr. Blitz — star surgeon turned maverick CEO — and a brand strategist to develop dual doctor and patient facing brands. With touchpoints across web and print, social and marketing, we created brand awareness, thought leadership strategy, and educational marketing for both the device company startup, its surgeon training program, and the patient-facing procedure. Additionally, we developed marketing assets and guidelines for our doctors so that they too could promote the procedure, creating a truly unified marketing and messaging front.
Ultimately, my partner and I (and a very lean handful of support players) helped Voom grow their footprint nationwide, achieve 15M+ late-stage Series A capitalization, and develop a strategic marketing platform and brand which are self-sustatining as the team scales and looks to the future.
